ART THERAPY

When words are hard to find

How creativity can help you process emotions and connect with your inner voice.

There are experiences that do not arrive as neat sentences. You may know that something feels heavy, tangled, or unfinished without knowing how to explain it. Art therapy creates another way to approach those experiences—through colour, shape, texture, movement, and image.

You do not need to be artistic. The purpose is not to produce something beautiful or technically skilled. A simple line, a torn piece of paper, or a colour chosen without much thought can become a starting point for noticing what is present.

The artwork can help create a little distance from an overwhelming feeling while still keeping it visible enough to explore. Together, we can be curious about what you made, what the process felt like, and what meaning—if any—you want to give it.

Creative work is always optional and can be combined with conversation. You decide the pace, the materials, and what you want to share. Sometimes an image opens a door to words; sometimes the act of making is meaningful on its own.
